Jackie Lacroix | Product Manager
Jackie Lacroix is the Manager of Data and Insights at groundTruth Global. groundTruth global is an analytics platform that combines human intelligence with predictive analytics to predict disruption and manage risk. By combining natural language processing and predictive analytics technology, with expert analysis, and “big” and local data sources, groundTruth global offers insights into current and future conflict and instability at a hyper-local level.
Jackie's work at groundTruth is focused on bringing the insights of big data and conflict analysis to bear on ground-level peacebuilding efforts and the needs of local peacebuilders.
Prior to joining groundTruth, Jackie worked for several years in the private sector in the risk analytics and travel security field. This experience provided her with insights on OSINT data collection and operational risk assessment in fragile states that has been invaluable to the groundTruth team. Her passion for peacebuilding led Jackie back into the peace and conflict field.
Jackie achieved an MA in International Conflict Studies with distinction at King's College London where she focused her research on civil conflict, insurgency, and the politics of identity. Her thesis explored the influence of identity on paramilitaries in the Northern Ireland conflict and included multiple research trips to Belfast and Derry/Londonderry. Prior to this, she graduated summa cum laude with a BA in International Studies with a focus on peace and conflict resolution from American University.
